Intensive Host Home
Specialized Care In and Around Edmonton for Complex Needs

Not every child or youth thrives in a group home setting.
For families in the Edmonton area who need specialized support and children who benefit from a family environment, our Intensive Host Home program offers a caring alternative.

What is the Intensive Host Home Program?
Our Intensive Host Home program provides out-of-home placement with specially-trained Level II Host Home Families. These caregivers receive advanced training to support children and youth with complex needs, offering stability, structure, and individualized care in a family setting.
Who Benefits from This Program?
Many children, youth, and families benefit from accessing respite and family breaks through our host home network. This program serves those who need more intensive support than what Kinnect House can provide, while still maintaining the warmth and consistency of a family environment.

Specialized Care
Our Level II Host Home Families are equipped with the skills and resources to provide therapeutic support, ensuring each child receives the individualized attention they deserve during their placement.
