Where is this training?
The first day (Verbal De-escalation Techniques) of the training is delivered online, and the second day (Physical Safety & Intervention Skills) will be held on the southeast side of Edmonton.
Can this course be done completely online?
Unfortunately, the course cannot be completed entirely online. The second day covers physical restraint techniques that require hands-on practice and in-person instruction for safety and effectiveness. The first day can be completed online, but the second day must be attended in person in Edmonton.
We understand this may be challenging for those outside the Edmonton area, but the hands-on component is essential for proper certification in these techniques.
Do I receive any certification for the one day training?
Yes, you will receive a certificate upon completion of the one day training!
How much does this program cost?
Our complete two day program is $200. If you would like to participate in only the first day (verbal de-escalation), it is $75.
This program is too expensive.
We understand that cost is always a consideration when investing in professional development. The skills learned in our Non-Violent Crisis De-escalation Training often prevent costly incidents and create safer environments for everyone involved.
We do offer a day one only option for $75 compared to $200 for both days, which might be a more budget-friendly way to get started with these essential skills.
